Kia Naddermier has over 25 years of experience of Ashtanga Yoga and is the main teacher & director of Mysore Yoga Paris (http://mysoreyogaparis.com). She is a dedicated advanced practitioner and mentors teachers, runs long-term apprentice programs and gives workshops, trainings and retreats world-wide. Kia is a devoted, long-term student of Shri O.P. Tiwariji and is one of the first few in the world to receive Kaivalyadham ́s highest certification in advanced Pranayamas and Kriyas. She returns to India several times each year to pursue her studies of Pranayama, Kriyas, Ayurveda, traditional scriptures and scientific research around yoga. Kia teaches with careful adherence to the authentic teachings of Ashtanga Yoga and Pranayama whilst encouraging each individual to explore the beauty of the practice for themselves. With a genuine dedication to the growth and development of her students, her way of teaching integrates her profound knowledge of the breath and Pranic energy, subtle and physical anatomy, with yogic principles and philosophy. Her deep love and years of dedication to all aspects of this practice shines through in her attentive, insightful and inspirational teaching.
”As our practice matures so does our appreciation for its many layers and subtleties” Kia Naddermier
An Immersive Evening of Philosophy & Pranayama The division between the body and mind is first healed with the breath. The transient nature of the breath itself teaches us not to grasp or resist experience but to open to the aliveness right here. Pranayama is the art of listening to the subtleties of the breath, waking us up to reality, to life. These ancient techniques are considered the most central aspect of any authentic yoga system. Hence developing a Pranayama practice is essential for anyone looking to deepen their experience of yoga as a whole. In this immersive session we will cultivate appreciation for the subtleties of breath and its significance in yogic practices and philosophy. New students will mindfully be introduced to traditional teachings of classical pranayama & kriyas, whilst those with more experience will refine and expand their practice and understanding. This session can be taken as an individual workshop or as part of a full weekend experience when combined with 2 days with Kia at Ella Yoga Tel Aviv:Tickets
